Sam Alvey

Imagine being confined in a place where you are being regularly abused physically, sexually, and/or verbally.

Imagine you are hungry, cold, and living in a filthy environment.

Imagine there is no sign of relief, no way out, no one to tell.

Imagine that you are stuck at home, away from school, with no adults to look out for your best interests.

Imagine how hopeless you would feel.

Now imagine you are part of a Team that is fighting to change all of this.

Join the fight to Knock Out Abuse

Together, we are going to make a huge difference for these children!

The massive effects COVID-19 has placed on the most vulnerable children are unimaginable

Isolation has driven child abuse detection down 60% and the estimated surge in abuse is over 25%.

Child protection agencies have reduced monitoring to avoid spreading the virus. Professionals such as teachers, doctors, counselors, and coaches are less able to detect signs abuse because of little or no interaction children.

Since regular channels of reporting have been disrupted, the rest of us need to be vigilantly looking for signs of abuse. There is an immediate need for early detection and quick intervention. If you suspect a child is being harmed, report it. Contact your local child protective services office.
